We are also offering Little Learners in 2024

Preschoolers aged 3-4 are invited to join us for our Little Learners Program. The program gives them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with school and experience fun with learning. The “St Brendan’s Little Learners” program will run in Term 2 of 2024. More details to come closer to the date.

During "Little Learners" sessions, children will have the opportunity to join in a variety of activities, sampling some of the different subjects we offer at school, including Art, Literacy, Sport, Maths and STEM. Parent/s and carers are welcome to stay for a cuppa and a chat while the children are participating in the program.

Pre-Prep Program

If you choose to enrol your child in Prep at St Brendan's in 2024; in Term 4 of 2023, your child is invited to participate in our 4 week Pre-Prep Program.

The purpose of the Pre-Prep Program is to assist children with their transition to school. We aim to do this by providing a fun and inviting atmosphere where your child feels welcome and safe. They will participate in a range of activities with a focus on social skills, fine-motor skills and language development through play-based learning. The program is free of charge.  

During the four sessions, the children will be involved in fun and engaging activities to build on their skill base for the beginning of their educational journey with us. The activities have also been specifically designed to enhance their emotional and social skills, as well as providing us with an opportunity to get to know your child before he/she comes to school. It is hoped that after the program is complete, children will feel more comfortable and ready to begin school the next year.

The day will begin with us meeting in the hall at 9.00am. Parents are invited to stay in the hall for a cup of tea/coffee while the program is running. At the end of the first session (Approx. 11am), the children will be having recess with the school students. We are also hoping that they will have the opportunity to mix with them through some cross age activities throughout the morning. The St. Brendan’s students really look forward to meeting and getting to know our new students.

The program is ran on Fridays from 9am until 12pm across the following dates:

17th November 2023

24th November 2023

1st December 2023

The Pre-Prep Program is a valuble step in the process of ensuring our new students feel comfortable, connected and ready to begin their Primary School journey.
